Cafe Assistant - part-time - Columbus Coffee Warkworth

At our Warkworth Cafe, we pride ourselves in offering a delicious meal and superb coffee. We have classic Kiwi breakfasts, as well as fabulous lunch options which you can enjoy in the relaxing atmosphere of our garden centre.
About the job
Competitive hourly rate and range of employee benefits; On-site role located in Warkworth; Permanent, part-time opportunity. The two rosters are as follows:
Sunday only - 5 hours (11:30-16:30) OR Wednesday, Thursday AND Friday - 15 hours (10:30-16:30) -> Please mentioned which position you would like to be considered for in your cover letter.
About the role
Our Café is located within Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth and is the perfect meeting spot for our local community to come together. Your typical day-to-day with us would include the following: Assist customers as required, respond to customer requests and process customer orders (will be assisting with Barista function and attend to daily FOH duties); Maintain a high level of food and general hygiene practice; Preparation and presentation of counter food and beverages; Cleaning all café areas, including cups, plates, saucers, and cutlery, to ensure service times are maintained and supporting kitchen team as and when required.

What will you bring?
- You would have a minimum of a years’ work experience in a café or restaurant environment.
- You would have a passion for providing great food and beverages.
- You would have strong communication skills.
- You would have a strong focus on delivering great customer service.
- You would preferably have some Barista skills.
- You would be available to work either of the above-mentioned roster patterns.
