About the position
Flora Food Group Chief R&D Officer is responsible for Global R&D agenda of Flora Food Group. As Chief of Staff, your focus will be on monitoring and tracking priorities and managing strategic projects. You will be reporting to the CRDO and will also be working closely with the R&D Leadership Team.
- Support to CRDO for R&D strategy and governance. This could be for topics such as gathering external best practice for R&D ways of working, dynamic resource allocation, et al
- Creating a solid understanding of R&D capacity and output, incl establish proper tracking and KPI alignment for R&D,
- Generating executive committee and stakeholder meeting materials
- Connecting teams that are working on similar initiatives, breaking down silos, working with other functions and experts within the company
- Providing decision support through data gathering, information analysing, and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders
- Taking ownership for RDLT agenda, incl meeting governance, minutes and action follow up
- Establishing a structured, annual R&D workplan – incl target setting, readiness to input to financial cycle milestones
Main Responsibilities
- Provide thorough analysis of data and supporting story, own the thinking and drive to the answer
- Be accountable and responsible to act as project manager on high profile projects typically supported by the executive committee
- Collaborate with associates across functions globally to identify, understand, design and plan to solve problems
- Collect, review and report data input during company planning process
- Ownership of WBSO subsidy submissions, with the aim to increase efficiencies yoy
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, business, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience at a management consultancy (e.g. Bain, Mc Kinsey, BCG) or a bank
- Ability to drive insight and solve problems based on facts and data
- Zero defect with logical problem-solving skills; ability to identify problems with data quality and minimize reporting errors.
- Well organized, with dedication to quality and integrity or rephrase to: Detail orientation and project management skills combined with an ability to prioritize work
- Ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Must be a self-motivator and enjoy solving problems.
- Clear and effective communicator; excellent written and verbal skills.
- You'll have to enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and it will take hard work and determination; we will give you the ownership you need to make an impact.
