JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:
This position must maintain daily communication with SQA engineer and SQA supervisor on administrating all rejected material that goes in and out of the red area and has contact with suppliers when there is sample or rework needs.

Essential Functions:

• Red Cage

o Maintain accuracy inventory on the red area (physical VS SAP)
o Coordinate the rework and sorting operations as necessary.
o Provide updated status of sorts in process as required.
o Move, Block and Unblock materials in the SAP system and physical
o Assure all materials are properly identified.
o Send samples to the suppliers as required.
o Process RMA# (Return Material authorization), creating the return deliveries to send the parts to the supplier, until pickup from Del Rio Warehouse (If Applicable)
o Follow up on Delivery (916) Process completion or Cancellation if applicable (YRPO)
o Notify tracking numbers to suppliers and follow up until delivery at destination. Communicate to all parties involved (Supplier/ Bendix Team)
o Oversee 3rd party sorting companies and Bendix personnel activities.
o Run and update management system reports at the defined frequency.
o The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.
o Ensure 5s rules are followed at all times in the red cage.
o Control inventory of the tooling used to perform the reworks (leak testing tooling).

• Shop Floor

o Receive and validate rejections of assigned areas
o Initiate immediate Containment Activities.
o Ownership of Q2 Process (Creation ,Update, RMA, Attachments)
o Create Only 8D/D0 in prism portal as needed.
o Notify Supplier of Quality Issue.
o Notify internal team of sort status as necessary.
o Deliver certified material to assembly line.
o Coordinate measurement of Additional samples as required.
o Coordinate Sample run in production and communicate findings to all parties involved.
o Coordinate Logistic Claims.
o Evaluate over time needs and additional support for weekends and as required for containment and red cage activities. Send report for approval.
o Knows and Communicates the need for product safety.
o Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
o Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees.

Knowledge:

• Intermediate Knowledge on Computer Microsoft office. (PPT, Excel)
• Basic knowledge GD&T (Geometric dimensioning & tolerance)
• Reading blueprint Knowledge.

Experience:

• Measurement equipment

• Quality, Materials and/or Engineering Background (Preferred)
