This role involves adeptly managing quotations for land, sea, and air operations on both domestic and international fronts, covering diverse cargo types such as dangerous goods, oversized shipments, and overweight items. The responsibilities extend to developing a robust portfolio, engaging in price negotiations, and conducting market research to secure the most favorable rates. The position also plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales team, ensuring seamless opportunities for load acquisition.
Responsibilities:
Quote and negotiate with different Agents and Suppliers in order to get the best costs.
Provide guidance and support to the sales team.
Follow up on the quotes sent in order to give feedback to Agents, Carriers, and Shipping Lines.
Prospect new suppliers for Ocean, Land, and Air Products.
Develop and procure relationships with Carriers and Agents.
Prompt detection of problems for decision-making and/or escalation of issues on time.
Follow up on the operation of new shipments, and support the operations and accounting team if necessary.
Requirements
Requirements:
Professional Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in the negotiation of Ocean, Air, and Land products for general, dangerous, reefer, and project cargo (at least 3 years).
Bachelor's degree in Business, International affairs, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of international logistics, quotation process & customer service.
Excellent organizational and communication skills to maintain accurate records, and collaborate with other departments.
Broad sense of analysis and urgency, work focused on results.
Spoken and written English.
Attend the request for quotation from the sales team, for general, dangerous, reefer and project cargo
(FCL, LCL, AIR, FTL, LTL).
