Receiving Clerk cum Storekeeper (Hospitality)

Job Summary:
  • To oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming goods and supplies. At the same time, ensures that all items meet quality standards and are accurately recorded in the inventory system.
  • To manage the inventory and supplies within the hotel, ensuring that all items are received, stored, and distributed efficiently. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service are essential for success in this role.
Job Requirement:
1. SPM and above.

2. Able to work under pressure.
3. Experience in Receiving/ Store Clerk.
Standard Job Responsibilities:
Receiving Clerk
1. Receive deliveries of supplies, goods, and equipment for all departments & inspect deliveries for accuracy, quantity, quality, condition & Halal status. Ensure all items meet the hotel's requirements and specifications.
2. Maintain detailed records of all incoming deliveries, including quantities received, prices, supplier information, and any discrepancies.
3. Ensure proper documentation is completed, such as receiving reports, invoices, delivery order, and enter required information into the hotel's inventory management system.
4. Ensure received goods are properly stored and labelled in designated storage areas within the hotel.
5. Coordinate with purchasing department and suppliers regarding delivery schedules, special orders, and backorders.
6. Communicate effectively with hotel departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to the delivery.
7. Adhere to hotel policies and procedures related to receiving, handling, and storing goods, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
8. Maintain cleanliness of receiving areas to uphold hotel standards and ensure a safe working environment.
9. Identify opportunities to improve receiving processes, streamline workflows, and reduce costs.
10. Collaborate with other departments to implement efficiency improvements and best practices in store inventory management and purchasing.
Storekeeper
1. Conduct weekly & monthly inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory levels.
2. Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory items.
3. Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to ensure older stock is used first and prevent spoilage or expiration of perishable items.
4. Reorder supplies as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels while minimizing overstocking and waste.
5. Optimize storage space to maximize efficiency and accessibility, utilizing shelving, racks, and storage bins effectively.
6. Receive requisitions from various departments and accurately fulfil the requests in a timely manner.
7. Maintain detailed records of items issued to departments, tracking quantities, and ensuring proper documentation.
8. Alert on security measures to prevent theft or unauthorized access to stored items, ensuring the integrity of the inventory management system.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
