Understands the Mainframe/Microfocus architecture, integrating components i.e. CICS, Webservices, MQ, JCL/Batch, DB2, Security, Infrastructure etc.
Microfocus administration and complete system setup knowledge such as online and batch instances.
Microfocus – External security setup such as MLDAP, Open LDAP etc.
Bridge the knowledge gap between Application Development, Support and Infrastructure team
Provide Technical support for Production incidents (including P1/P2s) and on-call support (outside business hours)
Assist Application Support (BAU team) and Microfocus Administrators to diagnose the problems using their Application and Functional Knowledge
Co-ordinate with team members for Microfocus impact analysis of Microfocus Version upgrade/patch upgrade, initial review and testing
Assist the teams in maintaining the expected performance level of the application i.e. Analyse & Provide fix for performance issues and review changes with respect to performance
Knowledge of distributed Linux environment, shell script and monitoring tools like Splunk, service now etc.
Create Knowledge Artefacts, Process, Wiki’s to support the relevant stakeholder/teams
