FRONT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST @HOTEL HUMAIRA TANAH MERAH, KELANTAN

Front Office Assistant duties may include greeting guests, managing reservations process, answering questions and requests, and provide information about the rooms, rates and amenities. The satisfaction and comfort of each guest is our top priority, and the hotel receptionist’s attitude and behavior should reflect that at all times.
Responsibilities:
· Greets guests at all times in a friendly and courteous manner, and attempt to learn and use guests’ names at every opportunity. This is of utmost important in the goal of providing personalized services.
· Answers the telephone promptly and courteously.
· Takes personal interest and pride for ensuring that the Receptionist Desk area is kept clean and in orderly state at all times.
· To be neatly attired and well-groomed at all times.
· Familiarizes with emergency procedure e.g fire, security, police and accidents etc.
· Keeps abreast with reference to all promotions and events taking place in and out of the hotel, for example food fair, conventions and art displays.
· Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special request whenever possible.
· Register guests and checks on the accuracy of information on the reservations with respect to identify of the guests eg. spelling of name, full address, method of payment etc. as well as the specific requests of the guests and length of stay.
· Manage online and phone reservation. Inform guest about the payment methods.
· Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
· Understands room status and room status tracking.
· Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
· Must be sales-minded. Present options and alternative to guests and offers assistance in making choices.
· Coordinates room status updates with the Housekeeping Department by notification Housekeeping of all checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests and day use rooms.
· Works closely with the Housekeeping Department in the keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work.
· Complies with the Key Card procedures and ensures that guest’s name is verified when a second Key Card is required or when a replacement of a new Key Card is needed after it has been misplaced by a guest.
· Attends to guest’s complaints, enquiries and requests promptly and report to Rooms Division Supervisor.
· Posts correctly on each bill the specific form of payment eg. cash and credit cards etc.
· Adheres to the operating policies and procedures regarding the utilization of guest safe deposit boxes.
· Ensures that the cash float drawers are locked whenever leaving the stations.
· Ensures that all charge vouchers are posted before going off duty.
· Ensures proper handling and taking over of cash float. Any excess or shortages of cash that must be indicated / declared on the cash remittance envelop. Investigation is to be followed up by the FOA concerned and reported immediately to the Rooms Division Supervisor.
· Ensures that there is sufficient change in the cash float at the beginning of every shift.
· Enquires politely during check-out if guest has incurred any last-minute charges.
· Retrieves the Key Card from guest upon checking out.
· Wishes guest a pleasant trip and hope to see him again.
· Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Malaysian Citizenship.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a hotel.
  • Education - Diploma or related field. Good computer skill.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM1,700.00 per month

Education:
  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Required)
Experience:
  • Front Office: 1 year (Required)
  • Hospitality: 1 year (Required)
