About the Role This is a full-time role for a Quantity Surveyor located in Ahmadi. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the financial and contractual elements of the projects. You will work closely with project manager, project engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints and contractual obligations. Your role will involve cost estimation, procurement management, contract administration, and financial reporting. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Minimum of 10 experience in with similar role in oil and gas, construction industry.
Must have Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership
Proficiency in construction cost estimating software (e.g., Cost X, Bluebeam), MS Excel, and project management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex cost data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with construction project management methodologies and best practices.
Experienced in KNPC, KIPIC, KOC projects with an approval is a plus.
Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates for the project based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
Analyze project requirements, quantities, and materials to determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
Manage the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, issuing inquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, and evaluating bids.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Implement cost control measures to monitor project costs, track expenditures, and analyze cost variances against budgeted costs.
Review and approve invoices, progress payments, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
Collaborate with project teams to implement value engineering recommendations and optimize project costs.
Review and certify progress payment applications from subcontractors and suppliers, verifying work completed and quantities installed.
Prepare interim payment certificates and final accounts for submission to clients and stakeholders.
Manage variation orders and change requests, assessing their impact on project costs and timelines.
Negotiate changes with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring proper documentation and approval of variations.
Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs and financial performance.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks and minimize their impact on project outcomes.
Liaise with project teams, clients, consultants, and stakeholders to provide cost-related advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and present cost reports, financial analyses, and forecasts to project stakeholders as required.
