About the Role This is a full-time role for Cost Control Engineer located in Ahmadi. As a Cost Control Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting and controlling project costs to ensure that the project is completed within the approved budget. You will monitor project expenditures, preparing cost forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing financial reports to support effective decision-making. You will work closely with project managers, project engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost management and accountability Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
3 - 8 years of experience in cost control in construction-based industry.
Strong knowledge of construction cost control practices and financial management principles.
Knowledge in cost control software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Excel, SAP).
Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait.
Responsibilities
Maintain the project cost control system to track expenses and ensure accurate cost reporting.
Monitor and analyze project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
Assists in cost forecasts, including estimates of future expenditures and budget revisions.
Identify and analyze cost variances and work with project teams to develop corrective actions.
Assist in the development and preparation of project budgets, including detailed cost estimates and contingency planning.
Prepare periodic cost reports, including cost-to-complete estimates, earned value analysis, and financial forecasts.
Generate and maintain detailed cost reports, including expenditure summaries, variance analyses, and trend reports.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of cost control records, including invoices, contracts, and change orders.
Track and manage changes to the project scope, including change orders and modifications.
Evaluate the cost impact of changes and ensure that adjustments are reflected in the project budget.
Conduct cost analyses to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Develop and implement cost control procedures and best practices to enhance project performance.
Work closely with project manager, engineers, and project team to ensure alignment on cost control measures and project goals.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to manage cost-related issues and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
