QA/QC Engineer

About the Role
This is a full-time role for a QA/QC Engineer located in Ahmadi. As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities adhere to established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will conduct inspections, tests, and audits to verify the quality of work performed by subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams, thereby contributing to the overall successful execution of project.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, 14000) preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the oil and gas construction industry, or environmental projects, with a strong understanding of quality standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, tools, and techniques, as well as relevant software applications.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
  • Experience with risk management, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Experienced in KNPC, KIPIC, KOC projects with an approval is a plus.
  • Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project-specific Quality Plans outlining quality objectives, inspection and testing requirements, and acceptance criteria in alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement quality control plans, inspection and testing procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Participate in QA audits, assessments, and reviews to verify compliance with project requirements, specifications, and quality management system requirements.
  • Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant quality standards, codes, and regulations, including ASME, API, and ISO standards.
  • Implement QC measures and controls to monitor and evaluate the quality of work performed by subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams.
  • Conduct QC inspections, tests, and measurements to verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and installations against established standards and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformances, deficiencies, and deviations from quality standards and requirements.
  • Investigate root causes of non-conformances and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions to address underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor the quality performance of subcontractors and suppliers, including conducting inspections, audits, and performance reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project quality requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular QA/QC status reports, metrics, and performance indicators for project stakeholders, senior management, and clients.
  • Communicate QA/QC requirements, expectations, and findings to project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to address quality issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices in QA/QC activities, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Participate in lessons learned sessions and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and outcomes.
