Fleet / Equipment Superintendent
About the Role
This is a full-time role for a Fleet / Equipment Superintendent located in Ahmadi. As a Fleet / Equipment Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and scheduling of the company’s fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles. You will ensures that all fleet operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of technicians, mechanics and support staff, manage fleet schedules, and coordinate with other departments to support organizational goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in fleet or equipment management, with a focus on heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English are required.
- Proven experience in managing fleet schedules and leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance practices and technologies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of heavy equipment and vehicles, including routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
- Monitor parts and supplies required for fleet maintenance and coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Develop and manage fleet schedules to optimize vehicle and equipment usage while minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate with other departments to align fleet operations with project needs and organizational objectives.
- Implement and oversee efficient routing and scheduling to reduce operational costs and enhance service delivery.
- Supervise and mentor a team of fleet technicians, mechanics and support staff.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the fleet management team.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including service logs and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and submit reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, and other relevant metrics to senior management.
- Develop and manage the fleet maintenance budget, including forecasting costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of vehicles and equipment and address any safety or quality issues promptly.
