At Guardz, the Head of Data role involves leading the integration of data across all company functions, ensuring consistency and accuracy, and driving data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with senior leadership and various teams to establish a unified BI logic, support and work on DBT implementation, and create insightful dashboards and reports. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders (CEO, CFO, CTO, Product, Sales, CS, Marketing, and Engineering) to understand data needs and define the BI strategy
Lead the development and implementation of the BI framework, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the organization
Design, build, and maintain robust dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to various teams
Establish and manage a centralized source of truth for all BI logic on DBT, working closely with the Data Engineering team
Ensure all functions have access to the correct metrics and data, facilitating informed decision-making
Mentor and guide the Data Analytics team (as a Guild Lead), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data excellence
Stay updated with the latest BI trends and technologies, integrating best practices into the company's data strategy
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head of Data, BI Team Leader, Data Engineer Team Leader, Analytics Team Leader, or similar role, looking to step into a leadership position
Advanced skills in data visualization tools and SQL
Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices
Familiarity with DBT, Google Tag Manager, Segment and Hubspot (or any other CRM)
Demonstrated ability to work with various functions and senior leadership to drive data initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
English at a professional capacity and excellent communication skills, both in person and written
