At Guardz, the Head of Data role involves leading the integration of data across all company functions, ensuring consistency and accuracy, and driving data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with senior leadership and various teams to establish a unified BI logic, support and work on DBT implementation, and create insightful dashboards and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (CEO, CFO, CTO, Product, Sales, CS, Marketing, and Engineering) to understand data needs and define the BI strategy
- Lead the development and implementation of the BI framework, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the organization
- Design, build, and maintain robust dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to various teams
- Establish and manage a centralized source of truth for all BI logic on DBT, working closely with the Data Engineering team
- Ensure all functions have access to the correct metrics and data, facilitating informed decision-making
- Mentor and guide the Data Analytics team (as a Guild Lead), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data excellence
- Stay updated with the latest BI trends and technologies, integrating best practices into the company's data strategy
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head of Data, BI Team Leader, Data Engineer Team Leader, Analytics Team Leader, or similar role, looking to step into a leadership position
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools and SQL
- Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices
- Familiarity with DBT, Google Tag Manager, Segment and Hubspot (or any other CRM)
- Demonstrated ability to work with various functions and senior leadership to drive data initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- English at a professional capacity and excellent communication skills, both in person and written
