Junior Estimator - €45K-50K (Cavan)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone looking to kickstart their career in construction estimating, with opportunities to work on diverse projects across multiple sectors
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Tender Documentation Management: Acquire tender and pre-qualification documents, ensuring their efficient distribution to the appropriate members within the Estimating Department.
Supplier and Subcontractor Inquiries: Manage requests for quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers, ensuring all necessary information is obtained and evaluated.
Contract Document Review: Thoroughly review contract documents to identify requirements, potential risks, and compliance with company standards.
Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed quantity measurements and take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings to ensure accurate project estimations.
Supplier & Subcontractor Database Management: Maintain and update databases of suppliers and subcontractors, sourcing new vendors for both existing and upcoming business units.
Pre-Qualification Assistance: Support the preparation and submission of pre-qualification documents, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Tender Creation: Develop tender proposals using the company’s in-house estimating software, ensuring accurate data input and competitive pricing.

Educational Background: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field is essential.
Experience: Ideally, 1-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, though recent graduates with strong academic records may also be considered.
Technical Writing Skills: Strong ability to draft and review technical documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all written communications.
IT Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Excel and 365 Share Point, is required, along with experience in specialized estimating software.
