HGV Heavy Duty Diesel Engine and Gear Box Mechanic
HGV Heavy Duty Diesel Engine and Gear Box Mechanic. Must have experience and be competent in all aspect of heavy duty diesel engines and gearbox mechanics. Duties: Gearbox and Engine Examination, Fault Finding and Testing. Removal, Disassembling Engines and Gearboxes inc Electrical Systems. Diagnosing either Electrical or Mechanical Faults or Both. Compile Fault Report, Containing Parts List and Labour Involved per Job. Rebuilding Gearboxes Fully and Synchronising Electrical System with the Vehicle and Set Clutch. Repairing and Rebuilding Engines. Connecting all Wiring and Electrical Components, Test and Run. Inspect, Diagnose and Repair Diesel Engines, Gearboxes and Machines, e.g Forklifts, Trailers and Generators. Prioritising Work Load, ability to work on different vehicles at any given time and meet urgent deadlines without compromising quality. Be a good communicator and flexible, may have to work unsociable hours and weekends. Full Time - 39hrs 8.30am to 5pm
