Finance and Payroll Administrator

Role Description
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Accounts Administration encompassing accounts payable and banking, financial analysis, and payroll processing. This entails the daily processing of transactions, invoices, payment runs, and remittances. Membership finances and general account enquiries
This role is on site in the golf club
Essential Skills
- Proficient in Accounts & Payroll Software ( ideally Sage )
- Strong numeracy and Excel skills essential
- Capable of processing data with precision
- Competent in collaborating effectively within a small team
- Skilled at multitasking
About The Role
  • Booking purchase invoices with correct general ledger coding.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and processing transactions.
  • Ensuring all payment deadlines are met when setting up month-end bank payments.
  • Posting journals and analysing till rolls.
  • Entering invoices into the Sage system.
  • Preparing weekly payment runs.
  • Setting up ad hoc payments as needed.
  • Regularly liaising with the finance team.
  • Assisting with audit preparations.
  • Calculating and submitting accurate payroll for 10 staff members.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and protecting payroll operations in compliance with GDPR.
  • Responding to queries from members, employees, and external agencies like the Revenue Commissioner.
  • Handling member account queries.
  • Processing member expense claims.
  • Recording all membership subscription payments in Club V1.
  • Conducting the annual invoice run for membership subscriptions through Club V1.
  • Following up on member non-payments and sending email reminders.
  • Arranging Annual Premium Finance payments with the Honorary Treasurer.
This position reports to the General Manager, with whom you will share an office. It is a part-time role, requiring 16 hours per week.
