Assistant Staff Officer Role Overview:
Deliver a professional and confidential payroll service. Contribute to payroll system development, maintain control processes, and ensure accurate payroll taxation, statutory deductions, and voluntary deductions. Ensure compliance with Revenue requirements and provide payroll services to university subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to payroll processes and meet deadlines.
Ensure compliance with payroll taxation and statutory deductions.
Support Core Payroll system development and test upgrades.
Prepare monthly payroll deductions and maintain records.
Provide confidential pay-related information to staff.
Liaise with auditors and contribute to financial control.
Recommend improvements to payroll procedures.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years in payroll, with strong IT skills (Excel, Word).
Desirable: IPASS Payroll Certificate or equivalent.

Hours: 35 hours per week, plus additional as needed
Salary: From 36k DOE
Annual Leave: 23 Days
