The Duty Manager a responsibility to maximise guest satisfaction by offering fast, efficient and excellent service to both the customers and employees. All task carried out the Duty Manager should be carried out according to the procedures and according to guidelines of the hotel.

Role/Responsibilities:

To support staff and assume a leadership role in relation to same.
To deal with customer complaints or issues in conjunction with the HOD to ensure smooth running of their shift.
Ensure all departments are fully staffed with the structures they have in place.
Provide excellent guest service experiences for clients throughout their stay.
Monitor advance bookings and ensure special requests/FAM Trips/VIPs are all prepared in advance.
Attends meetings and training required by the Resort General Manager
Assists colleagues to perform similar or other jobs when necessary
To assume the duties of Duty Manager for the shift
The Duty Manager will deal with guest issues that they come across or have been referred to them in order to ensure guest satisfaction prior to the guest leaving the property.
To complete fire walks and security walks in line with the Duty Manager shift

Requirements:

A qualification in a Hospitality related degree desirable
Previous experience as a Duty Manager-Relevant experience and a minimum of 2 years in a similar position
Working knowledge of time and attendance system, hospitality guest booking systems eg Opera
Experience of using restaurant software packages.
Experience in Health & Safety compliance
Ability to work on own initiative and equally able to work as part of the overall management team with Strong people management skills and excellent organizational skills
