Job Description:

1) Job Purpose

To lead product development, application research, and collaboration efforts to drive innovation and improvement projects within the organization. This role focuses on creating innovative formulation prototypes, scaling them up, and deploying them at the main plant while ensuring compliance with cost, regulatory, and company standards. Additionally, the position involves conducting in-depth application research for hydrate products in the cable and wire industry, establishing quality benchmarks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and deliver best-in-class quality. Also manage product specifications, drive product improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Supporting Actions

Product Development

Lead the creation of innovative formulation prototypes in the laboratory.
Scale up prototypes in the pilot plant and deploy them at the main plant for all innovation and improvement projects as per brief, ensuring adherence to cost, regulatory, and Hindalco framework.

Application Research

Conduct in-depth application research for multiple hydrate products in the cable and wire industry.
Establish measurable quality benchmarks for each product.
Actively gather knowledge from competitor analysis, customer surveys, and industry publications to inform research efforts.

Collaboration with Plant

Collaborate with the precipitated hydrate team to optimize processes and machines.
Consistently deliver best-in-class quality, with a dotted line reporting to the precipitated hydrate plant head.

Specification Management

Create new finished product specifications to ensure delivery of quality and technical action standards.
Adopt digital R&D ways of working to streamline processes.

Product Improvement & Value Engineering:

Identify potential areas for improving current specifications/formulations.
Conduct competition benchmarking to drive potential savings and product superiority.

Risk Management & Claims Support:
