Social Work Intern

General Roles and Responsibilities
- Client Interaction:
- Assist with client assessments and intake processes.
- Conduct interviews to gather relevant information.
- Support clients in goal-setting and planning.
- Case Management:
- Help manage cases by maintaining client records and documentation.
- Monitor client progress and provide updates to supervisors.
- Coordinate services and resources for clients.
- Support Services:
- Participate in direct service delivery, such as counseling or support groups.
- Facilitate workshops or educational sessions for clients or the community.
- Research and Evaluation:
- Assist in gathering data for program evaluation and assessment.
- Help conduct literature reviews on relevant topics.
- Advocacy:
- Support clients in navigating systems (e.g., healthcare, legal, housing).
- Advocate for client needs within organizations or community resources.
- Professional Development:
- Attend supervision meetings and participate in training sessions.
- Engage in reflective practice to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaboration:
- Work with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychologists, and other professionals.
- Participate in staff meetings and case conferences.
- Advanced Practice:
- Engage in more complex case management and therapeutic practices.
