Social Security Expert
About the Role The role involves enhancing social security in targeted communities by conducting research, promoting social protection schemes, and building partnerships. The candidate will organize outreach camps, provide training on social protection and financial inclusion, and coordinate stakeholder engagement, while also monitoring and documenting project activities to assess impact and identify funding opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research to assess social security challenges and opportunities in project areas.
Support in the development of sustainable financing mechanisms for social protection.
Facilitate partnerships and collaboration with organisations working in the area of social security.
Develop strategies for promoting and implementing social security schemes for vulnerable communities and organise camps in the target area.
Provide training on social protection, digital literacy, and financial inclusion to communities.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement for better alignment with government schemes and policies.
Support in documenting and reporting on social security activities.
Monitor the performance and impact of social protection initiatives through M&E frameworks.
Identify potential funding and partnership opportunities with like-minded organisations.
Maintain comprehensive databases of all project activities.
Any other duties as assigned by the management.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Economics, Engineering or related fields.
2-5 years of experience working on social protection programs, government welfare schemes, or financial inclusion.
Experience in liaising with government bodies, civil society organisations, and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of the Indian social protection framework, including schemes like MGNREGA, PDS, and others.
Fluency in English and local language (Hindi & Punjabi) is essential.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Master’s degree in relevant fields.
Experience working on digital financial literacy programs.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in policy advocacy and community outreach.
Familiarity with gender equity and inclusion in social security.
