Job Summary: The Recovery Incharge is responsible for managing and executing the strategies for recovering outstanding debts or assets. This role involves leading a team, coordinating with various departments, and implementing effective recovery processes to ensure the organization meets its financial goals. Key Responsibilities:
Debt Recovery Management:
Develop and implement strategies for debt collection to maximize recovery rates.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable and overdue accounts.
Conduct regular reviews and analysis of aged receivables and recovery processes.
Client and Debtor Relations:
Communicate with debtors to negotiate payment terms and settlement agreements.
Address and resolve client disputes and concerns related to recovery processes.
Maintain positive relationships with clients while ensuring effective recovery.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and present regular reports on recovery activities, performance metrics, and outstanding debts.
Maintain accurate records of all recovery-related transactions and communications.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement enhancements to increase efficiency.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to debt recovery.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline recovery processes and improve overall financial health.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure recovery processes adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage risks related to debt recovery and mitigate potential issues.
Implement and monitor controls to prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Proven experience in debt recovery, collections, or financial management.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in recovery software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to debt recovery.
