The MDF Worker is responsible for operating machinery and performing manual labor tasks in the production of Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) products. The role involves cutting, shaping, finishing, and assembling MDF materials according to production specifications while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Operate Machinery: - Operate MDF cutting, shaping, and finishing machines (such as CNC routers, saws, and sanders) to produce MDF products as per designs. - Material Handling: - Handle and transport MDF boards to and from workstations. - Load and unload raw materials and finished products. - Assembly and Finishing: - Assemble MDF parts using screws, adhesives, or fasteners as needed. - Sand and smooth surfaces for high-quality finishes. - Apply coatings or laminates if required. - Quality Control: - Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. - Report any defects or issues to the supervisor. - Maintenance and Cleaning: - Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery. - Keep workstations clean and organized. - Safety: - Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear. - Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor. Skills and Qualifications: - Experience: - Previous experience working with MDF or in a woodworking/furniture manufacturing environment is preferred. - Familiarity with woodworking machinery and power tools (planers, sanders, CNC routers, etc.). - Technical Skills: - Ability to read and understand technical drawings and product specifications. - Basic knowledge of carpentry, woodworking techniques, and finishing methods. - Physical Ability: - Capable of lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). - Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. - Attention to Detail: - Strong focus on accuracy and quality control. - Teamwork: - Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions. Education and Certification: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Certification in woodworking or carpentry (preferred but not mandatory). Working Conditions: - Exposure to loud noise, dust, and chemicals used in MDF production. - Standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.
