The Packing Staff is responsible for carefully packing furniture items for delivery or storage, ensuring that all products are properly protected to prevent damage during transportation. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to packing and safety standards in the furniture industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing Operations:
- Pack furniture products using appropriate materials such as bubble wrap, foam, cardboard, and wooden crates to ensure safe transportation.
- Follow packing guidelines for different types of furniture, including fragile and bulky items.
- Securely fasten and seal packages to prevent damage during transit.
- Material Management:
- Ensure packing materials such as boxes, padding, tapes, and wraps are well-stocked and used efficiently.
- Report low stock of packing materials to the supervisor.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect items for damage, defects, or inconsistencies before packing.
- Report any damage to the furniture or issues with packing materials to the supervisor.
- Product Labeling:
- Label all packed items accurately with relevant product information, destination, and handling instructions (e.g., "Fragile," "This Side Up").
- Loading Assistance:
- Assist in loading packed furniture onto trucks or into storage areas.
- Work with the logistics team to ensure items are loaded in the correct order and manner.
- Safety and Organization:
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment where necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing area, ensuring clear walkways and workspaces.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate with other team members in the packing, warehouse, and logistics departments to meet shipping deadlines.
- Work efficiently to meet daily packing targets.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Prior experience in packing, warehouse, or logistics roles (experience in the furniture industry preferred but not required).
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy furniture items (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Able to stand, bend, and move for long periods while performing manual labor tasks.
- Attention to Detail:
- Strong focus on ensuring that products are properly packed and labeled.
- Teamwork:
- Ability to work well with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ₹9,670.28 - ₹17,172.99 per month
