Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
Review stores sales ledgers and follow up on any exceptions to assure the accuracy of sales and deposit information.
Calculate and manage government taxes.
Maintain the financial statements of assigned stores which include the monthly preparation of month end accruals, responding to exceptions based on pre-determined criteria, and preparing any adjusting entries as needed.
Service Operations by producing accurate P&L, timely follow-up on their requests and needs, and providing financial/accounting training as needed.
Perform Fixed Asset Audits and other market travel as needed, including training on financial concepts.
Profitability Analysis and Reporting.
Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Prepares special reports by studying variances; preparing budgets; developing forecasts.
Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices.
Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
