We are seeking a motivated Commis 2 to join our culinary team, specializing in Chinese, Continental, or Cold Kitchen. The Commis 2 will support the kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that kitchen standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the basic preparation and cooking of dishes in your assigned section (Chinese, Continental, or Cold Kitchen).
Follow the guidance and instructions from senior chefs and Commis 1 to complete tasks efficiently.
Prepare ingredients and mise en place for the day-to-day kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards.
Assist in the handling and storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation.
Learn and develop skills in various cooking techniques relevant to your specialty.
Support the kitchen team in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Comply with food safety regulations and kitchen policies.
Qualifications:
Some prior experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within Chinese, Continental, or Cold Kitchen sections.
Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
A culinary certificate or diploma is an advantage but not required.
