As the BIM Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of BIM modelers to deliver high-quality architectural projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the creation and management of digital models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, ensuring adherence to project standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks. Collaboration with project stakeholders, mentoring team members, and driving innovation in BIM workflows will be central to your role.
Responsibilities: As an BIM Team Lead, your key responsibilities and duties includes: Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of BIM modelers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects. Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and foster a collaborative team environment. Project Management: Manage the overall BIM process for BIM projects, from initial concept through design development to construction documentation. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. BIM Implementation: Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and best practices within the team and across projects. Ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and organizational guidelines for BIM execution planning and model management. Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality control process for BIM models, conducting regular reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards and specifications. Provide feedback and guidance to team members to improve model quality and efficiency. Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of advancements in BIM technology, software, and workflows. Provide technical expertise and support to the team, resolving complex modeling challenges, and promoting innovative solutions to enhance project delivery. Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors. Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination meetings, clash detection sessions, and model coordination efforts to resolve conflicts and optimize design integration. Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development within the team. Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team members' proficiency in BIM software, processes, and methodologies. Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their BIM requirements, communicate project progress, and address any concerns or feedback. Collaborate with project managers and business development teams to identify opportunities for BIM-driven project delivery and client satisfaction. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Proven experience as a BIM modeler in architectural &Structural projects, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Expertise in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Archi CAD, or similar.
Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and BIM standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of BIM implementation processes, including BIM execution planning, model coordination, and quality assurance.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
