Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and creative Bakery Chef(DCDP) to join our team. The Bakery Chef(DCDP) will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods including cakes, cookies, pies, bread, pastries, and other desserts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create delicious and visually appealing baked items. Key Responsibilities:
Baking and Pastry Preparation:
Prepare a wide range of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, pastries, and other desserts.
Develop new recipes and ensure all products are consistent in taste and presentation.
Quality Control:
Ensure all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Inventory and Supplies Management:
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Ensure proper storage and handling of all ingredients and finished products.
Menu Planning and Development:
Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to develop and refine the bakery menu.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
Train and mentor junior bakers and kitchen assistants as needed.
Customer Interaction:
Occasionally interact with customers to take special orders, provide product recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Education: Culinary degree or equivalent certification in baking and pastry arts.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bakery Chef(DCDP) or in a similar role.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
Creative flair for developing new and innovative recipes.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
