Key Responsibilities: · Teaching and Instruction: o Conduct lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Computer. o Develop, review, and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools. o Evaluate and grade students’ performance through assignments, exams, and laboratory work. o Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student participation and success. · Research and Scholarly Activities: o Engage in research activities in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or Computer Networks. o Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences. o Seek and manage research funding, write grant proposals, and collaborate with other researchers and institutions. o Supervise and mentor postgraduate and doctoral students, providing guidance on their research projects. · Curriculum Development: o Assist in the development and revision of course content and instructional materials to ensure alignment with academic and industry standards. o Contribute to the design and implementation of effective teaching strategies and curriculum enhancements. · Student Support: o Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, addressing their academic and career-related questions. o Offer additional support through office hours or extra help sessions to assist students with coursework and projects. · Departmental and Institutional Activities: o Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic functions. o Support departmental administration, including maintaining academic records and assisting with various academic and administrative tasks. · Professional Development: o Stay current with advancements in Computer and pedagogical methods. o Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching and research skills. Qualifications: · Educational Qualifications: o A master's degree in computer or a related field with first Class from a recognized institution. o A Ph.D. in Computer or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level Assistant Professor positions. · Experience: o Prior teaching experience is advantageous but not required for entry-level Assistant Professor positions. o Demonstrated involvement in research activities and scholarly work is desirable. · Skills: o Proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies. o Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. o Ability to design and implement effective instructional materials and teaching strategies. o Good organizational and time-management abilities.
