We are seeking a Director in Freight Forwarding too join our dynamic team in Thessaloniki.
As a Director in Freight Forwarding you will be holding a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing all operations related to the movement and transportation of goods on behalf of clients. Freight forwarding involves the coordination of shipments between various carriers (air, sea, road, and rail), ensuring that goods reach their destinations efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning and Management (Develop and implement the overall strategy for the freight forwarding operations, ensure that the freight forwarding business aligns with company goals, market demands, and customer needs &

Identify growth opportunities and manage expansion into new markets or regions.

• Overseeing Operations (Ensure that all freight forwarding operations are running smoothly, manage a team of professionals, Optimize logistics processes)
• Maintain strong relationship with clients
• Ensure that all freight forwarding activities comply with local and international laws
• Develop budgets, manage P&L statements, and ensure that the freight forwarding operations are profitable.

Requirements

• Advanced business writing and oral skills both in Greek and English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of logistics and supple chain solutions
• Managing sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
• Consistency in achieving performance targets

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field
• Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
• Strong experience in multimodal transportation
