We are looking for a Director, Operational Excellence in our Rolls and Workshop Services Business Unit to drive profitable business growth, technology offering and global operational effectiveness. Rolls and Workshop Services extends from roll reconditioning and new roll technology to upgrading and reconditioning of pulp & fiber line equipment, as well as efficiency projects, intelligent roll solutions and preventive maintenance. With over 25 service centers around the world, our committed team of specialists provides a dedicated global service that is close to the customer.
The primary responsibilities include leading the global Operational Excellence team, R&D and Intelligent Solutions development.
Head of Operational Excellence will be part of the BU Management Team and will be working actively in the global matrix organization.
In addition, Head of Operational Excellence is responsible for:

Sharing globally operative and technology knowhow (rolls, covers and fiberline equipment services) within BU operations

Supporting technology units in launching new solutions
-
Best practice implementation with area workshops
-
Strategic development of reportable product levels at global and area level
-
Manage and develop global processes and CI actions
-
Develop and execute an Operational Excellence Roadmap aligned to BU strategy
-
Concept owner for end-to-end delivery process in BU
In partnership with other stakeholders in ROL Business unit and Area Organizations:
The position can be located in Järvenpää ( Tikkurila Q1/2025 onwards ), Jyväskylä or Tampere.
What are our expectations to you?
The position as a Director, Operational Excellence requires both strong knowledge of quality and project management and continuous improvement and experience with quality tools and standards as well as Lean tools (Green Belt or higher is an advantage).
Also to be successful in this position, we expect you to have the following qualities:

Demonstrated track record improving key Operations KPIs in machinery industry, preferably in services business

At least 10 years of relevant experience, including some years of managerial experience

Excellent motivation and attitude, and ability to achieve results under pressure

Ability to quickly build relationships and achieve results both individually and as part of a team

Proven ability to effectively manage change in a complex environment

Effective written and oral communication skills in English along with presentation, negotiation skills

Willingness and ability to travel on an international basis

Bachelor's degree in a related field required with a Master’s degree preferred
