We are looking for experienced Quality Director to join our Supply chain team in Services Business Line.
The Services Business Line offers sustainable services for power generation, fiber processing, and paper, board, and tissue production lines. Our offering has evolved from traditional services to comprehensive, long-term solutions that integrate Valmet as a significant part of our customers’ mill operations. We are strongly committed to supporting our customers’ success through our Shared Journey Forward concept, which represents Valmet’s approach to customer service.
Your main responsibility is to develop and implement the Services quality strategy and processes. You will be leading quality and process development to ensure improved process performance across various functions within the organization. You will work closely with our business units, area organizations and global supplier network. You will also be a member of the Valmet Quality Management team.
The position is located in Finland, preferably in Tampere or Järvenpää, but other locations can be considered. Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.
This role includes a wide range of different responsibilities. You will

Lead quality management in global Services Business Line.

Lead and implement quality strategy, actions to improve the quality culture and quality performance in Areas and Business Units.

Own Services quality processes, e.g., related to QA/QC and continuous improvement.

Lead supplier quality management & supplier process improvement.
-
Lead the implementation of new regulations and support and facilitate audits and regulatory inspections and continuous improvement.

Lead global development and implementation of quality related developments (e.g., processes or tools).
-
Coordinate Global Management System in the Services Business Line, drive improvements together with global process owners and Area teams.

Liaise with management across different business units, functions and Areas to identify key development areas.

Represent Services in the Valmet Quality Management team.
To be successful in this role you will have

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in quality management or industrial engineering.
-
at least 10 years of relevant experience in quality management.
-
proven knowledge of quality and project management and continuous improvement.
-
proven experience with quality tools and standards as well as Lean tools.
-
deep understanding of quality management, the ISO and industry related standards.
-
change management and leadership skills in a matrix, multi-cultural, international environment.

effective time management and self-motivation for effective leadership within the organization.

ability to challenge current way of working.

ability to coach and train personnel.
