Abou the role Newbuild (NB) Quality & Risk Director Leading Newbuild Quality and Risk functions cross the NB operational locations Key function is to develop implement monitor Quality and Risk processes internally and with RCG external partners Main focus is at the shipbuilding operational aspects in various yards Ensuring close link internally to Business Excellence Solutions and Brands operational teams Ensure that our quality and risk processes are aligned and updated internally at all times NBQRD provides strong support to all projects at the various Site Offices Focus is not limited to projects but also various aspects of the projects such as Owners work special projects mock-up’s and some extend to Yard related Quality aspects and risks Such a quality aspects can be drawing quality quality of scheduling and planning At the risk related items beyond the project can be TK and supplier risk evaluations risk evaluation of external aspects that have impact to the projects Regular reporting with a close collaboration of Mission Control team is part of the process Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibility of internal development
implementation and monitoring of quality and risk processes through out the operational Newbuild projects in Europe
Verification and implementation to projects Safety processes jointly with Safety Officer
internal partners and with yard and other external partners
Collaboration with Business Excellence team and participate to joint development and implementation of internal quality risk and safety processes Collaboration with all yards related to quality risk and satey processes development and implementation
This including joint monitoring and reporting throughout the projects
Collaboration between Brand Quality
risk and safety teams within various projects
Ensuring that agreed processes are taking place and best practices are followed
Strong team builder
works in seamless manner with various stakeholders
Ensure that teams are delivering brand specific designs to implementation commissioning to flawless delivery
in accordance with both design iand shipyard contracts
Close collaboration with classification societies as well as class societies consulting services to verify and develop future standards
rules & regulations
Participates Design related quality reviews
Leads Risk processes in various workstreams
and with this enhance forward looking risk based approach and ensuring that mitigative actions are taking place as far as possible
Develops together with internal key stakeholders as well as with yard and other external stakeholder KPI’s to track the good progress of the projects quality
risk and safety aspects
Coordinate quality and risk resources in various projects jointly with the project management teams and Site office Leads Supports and participates as needed design quality risk and safety verifications in various locations Leads development and implementation of quality risk and safety standards/ guidelines internally and externally withing collaboration of defined key partners Spends time walking onboard the vessels as they are under construction to understand implementation Support and align processes and way of working with Brand and Solutions counterparts Support Brands operations and Solution in drydocking quality risk and safety processes
Maintains good relations with shipyard leadership and management
Close collaboration with the TK and suppliers to ensure quality
risk and safety aspects are followed and mitigated actions implemented

Studies collects shares compare stores statistical information and
analyze various ships and areas bringing forth observations
Creates presentations and reports for design management and project management
Regularly conducts reviews to check that operational risk Quality and Safety aspects are fulfilled as per standards
contracts and following best practices
Participate official internal and external audits as main point of contact at the defined areas as per job description (Quality
Risk and Safety)
Stays current in industry trends and innovation through research and market knowledge at the respective areas of Quality
risk and safety
Is committed to extensive travelling during the year and owns capabilities to spend long period of time in outside location as example during the ship deliveries

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct Finance responsibilities
Works in close cooperation with Project Manager and project finance team
Works with senior management budgetary planning
APPROVES ALL EXPENSES AND PAYMENTS MADE BY DIRECT REPORTS
Key skills & experience required:

Requires strong teamwork and collaborative leadership skills to develop rapport within the department with other departments and externally Possesses self-motivation with ability to mobilize people and resources to action

Good ability to proactively identify problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

Working knowledge of computer software for communication and presentations
Qualifications:
In-depth 10 years’ experience in the Quality
Risk and Safety focussed industry
Preferred Master’s degree in Quality
Risk and Safety in Construction or Master in Quality and Production Management
Minimum of 10 years working at the Quality
Risk and Safety related positions
Shipyard or Cruise ship industry experience at the quality risk and safety related aspects is considered as strong benefit Minimum of 5 years managing large scale projects
Minimum of 3-5 years managing direct reports preferred
Minimum Bachelor’s degree at the Quality Risk and Safety areas Masters degree preferred
