Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Workshop Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and a proven track record of successfully managing workshop operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee production processes, ensure quality standards, and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the mechanical workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and production schedules.
- Lead, train, and supervise the workshop team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to review project specifications and provide input during the design phase.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure all machinery and equipment are operational and well-maintained.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies within the workshop.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of materials and supplies necessary for workshop operations.
- Evaluate workshop processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Prepare reports on workshop performance and project progress for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical workshop management, with a focus on design and production.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
