Overview:
Handling business tax advices and contracts review, responsible for Sector tax submissions and engaging with Corporate tax projects and initiatives in addition to transfer pricing documentation and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Handling the preparation of the requirements of the local transfer pricing documentation for the five legal entities.
- Preparing the segmentation for transfer pricing audit purposes.
- Supporting the tax consultant in the transfer pricing audit for the five legal entities.
- Handling the Business contracts tax review for Snacks & Beverages.
- Handling the Capex tax review for Snacks & Beverages.
- Preparing the blackline and quarter balance sheet reviews for Snacks & Beverages.
- Preparing the quarter Global Control Standards for Snacks & Beverages.
- Preparing the Annual Operating Plan & tax forecasts for Snacks & Beverages.
- Preparing the Deferred Tax Balance Sheet approach for Snacks and Beverages.
- Preparing Sector Batches quarterly submission following the quarter closings for Snacks & Beverages.
- Preparing CBCR submission for Snacks & Beverages.
- Preparing Data Collection Package tax schedules submission for Snacks & Beverages.
- Preparing the corporate income tax & deferred tax true-up entries and the book to tax reconciliations following the submission of the corporate income tax returns for Snacks & Beverages.
- Supporting in the process of the foreign withholding tax exemption ruling or tax refund with the Egyptian Tax Authority related to offshore transactions.
- Support Corporate Tax Team in their projects and queries for Snacks & Beverages.
- Support Sector Tax Team in their projects and their follow-up queries following the submissions for Snacks & Beverages.
- Support in the monthly closing activities.
- Prepare & review tax reporting requirement (BAIC preparation – FIN 48 – Deferred Tax Review – FAS 109 – Quality of Earning QOE).
- Support the business when needed with any tax advisory related matters, work with all Pepsi Co functions to ensure the accuracy of Pepsi Co contracts from tax perspective & to ensure proper alignment with any related tax exposure on a timely manner.
- Liaise with the governmental affairs team in any special projects, attend meeting, discussion with the tax authority to support Pepsi Co position.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Postgraduate qualification is a plus preferably CPA, ACCA, ADIT.
- Member in the Egyptian Society of Taxation and / or the Egyptian Society of Accounting & Auditing would be a plus.
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in taxation either in a tax consultancy firm or in a corporate firm. FMCG background would be a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage tax calendar requirements to ensure deliverables on time and support Business requirements.
- Analytical skills and accuracy in the details.
- English Proficiency is a must
