YOU’LL WORK ON: You will be leading a team of skilled team leaders and technicians, responsible for assembling our different electric mobility products with an effective use of material and equipment. You will be Leading the training, developing and evaluating your shop floor team members to lead the development of an effective team. Responsible for increasing productivity with innovative methods and motivating staff to perform better, keeping up to date with new innovations in production and ensuring that health and safety laws are followed and promoting safe work practices. Meet and exceed production cost schedule and maintain quality requirements. Implement and follow systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineering on process development projects, review efficiencies and eliminate waste within the manufacturing process and deliver high quality products/components to defined standards. YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:
Coordinates production activities with other departments to ensure production goals/objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
Establishes and monitors shift performance for Safety, People, Quality, Productivity and Cost.
Updates objectives/KPI boards to keep production floor team members informed about Safety, People, Quality, Productivity and Cost. Leads employee start-up meetings.
Managing production semi-finished goods WIP and ensure the availability of healthy WIP for retrofitting
Ensure the execution of standardized processes and ensure all products are complying with the required quality specs.
Conduct systematic problem solving for all issues occurring across all metrics.
Works with other team members to control and improve efficiencies, minimize labour overtime, downtime and repair expenses.
Provides leadership and training to accomplish production objectives to all employees across all metrics as: Safety, People, Quality, Productivity and Cost.
Promotes shop floor organization, plant house-keeping with employees lean utilizing techniques such as 5S with shift personnel.
Prepares and reviews employees worked hours for submission to payroll.
You are:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering.
3-5 years’ experience as a production engineer.
Having excellent communication and analytical skills.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
