Senior BI/ DWH Extraction
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced SQL extraction processes for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data needs are met for reporting and analysis.
- Develop complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Implement and maintain data governance and quality checks throughout the extraction process.
- Document ETL processes, data flows, and transformation logic to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with best practices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SQL extraction processes, resolving issues and enhancing system performance.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on SQL and data extraction best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and methods in data extraction and BI/DWH development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in BI/DWH extraction and SQL development.
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL and experience with relational database systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
- Extensive experience with data modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schema designs.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes, and how they integrate with SQL extraction.
- Experience with data quality and governance practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
- Proactive attitude towards continuous learning and keeping up to date with industry trends.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
