Job Description
Job Title: Country Finance Lead – Egypt Location: Cairo, Egypt
About the role: Country Finance will play a critical role to support the operations in the country through managing multiple workstreams where the primary focus will be managing business planning, support decision making by identifying, maintaining and evaluating information, managing and accuracy of the IFRS & management reporting, statutory accounting and compliance with SOX (where relevant), controlling and internal control framework.
The incumbent will be the main contact regards to coordination with Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) team and ensure compliance with TBS ways of working while running & supporting a range of accounting & reporting related tasks, lead several ongoing and planned projects, such as ERP rollouts, enhancements, legal entity integrations, automation, and various other accounting & reporting systems initiatives in coordination with EAMEA MCO Finance Controller Lead.
The incumbent will ensure business partnership and support business functions with proper analysis and relevant data to develop solutions recommendations. This includes both quantitative and qualitative analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, working with large data sets, developing reports as well as creating presentations. As part of business partnership, the incumbent will also lead the planning & forecasting processes (budget, mid-month and adhoc forecasting, scenario analysis) in the country as well relevant system submission & management in coordination with EAMEA MCO FP&A Lead.
The role requires frequent interaction with the EAMEA Leadership in addition to EAMEA Financial Controller & FP&A, Supply Chain Head.
How you will contribute: Finance Business Partnering:
Partner with country head to stablish access to medicine model in the country
Work closely with commercial team and other supporting functions to support business growth
Provide business insights to support operational & strategic business decisions
Support distributors relationship
Financial Planning (FP&A):
Lead the financial planning process in the country (Plan / Mid-Year/ LROP)
Support internal and external audit activities Ensure robust control environment and adherence with Takeda SOPs
Responsible for the Pre-Closing review of Opex & revenue review ensuring all accounting entries have been posted properly
Ensure full compliance with Takeda accounting&reporting policies (ie: revenue recognition)
Responsible for the gross to net sales monitoring & revenue deduction rebates (expiry/discount/etc..) ensuring all accruals are booked in timely manner following the sales recognition on monthly basis
Closely monitoring all BS Reconciliation to avoid any improper booking or misstatement
Reporting Quarterly Accounting Memo & SOX Compliance MEMO /any subsequent events to ensure all accounting standards & reconciliations are following correctly IFRS & issues reported/solved in a timely manner. Where needed, support EAMEA Controller to develop accounting memo’s for proper technical accunting alignment.
Responsible for financial aspects of Distributor Contracts (Payment terms, compensation mechanism/process, tax implications if any, Credit Limits) and receivables collections including the bad debt assessment
Ensure various statutory filings are completed in a timely manner, where applicable
In every aspect of accounting, book keeping, IFRS bookkeeping and finance related processes and systems, main contact point for TBS

What you bring to Takeda: EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
University Degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 7 years of progressive Finance experience within a MNC finance organisation
