Job Description
- Developing financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans
- Monitoring financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, minimizing the impact of variances
- Maximizing return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community
- Managing budget and forecast processes, providing financial direction and assisting in strategic decisions
- Reviewing financial reports for ways to reduce costs
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports
- Overseeing the company’s financial systems and procedures, and recommending improvements where necessary
- Managing relationships with partners and investors
- Leading and mentoring a team of finance and accounting professionals
Qualifications
- Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
