Air Conditioning & Repair (AC&R)/HVAC Lead
Amentum is actively seeking Air Conditioning & Repair (AC&R)/Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) Lead for International Fleet Support under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. The work location will be at the Egyptian Naval Base in the port of Alexandria, Egypt. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
Essential responsibilities and daily duties include:

Inspect and assess systems to identify any potential problems.

Repair or replace worn out or defective parts in the air conditioning system.

Install new air conditioning systems and ensure they are functioning efficiently.

Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure they are operating at optimal capacity.

Test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.

Document each aspect of a system, including all maintenance and repair work, as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance.

Comply with all safety instructions during repairs and testing of associated motor(s).
Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
-
10 years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing issues with air conditions and 5 years of specific Shipyard or Naval experience.

Specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems.

Working knowledge of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
-
Working knowledge of boiler systems.
-
Working knowledge of intermediate and depot-level repair procedures, repair, maintenance standards, as well as quality assurance specifications.

Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.

Proficiency using hand tools, precision measurement tools, and equipment to perform repairs and have a thorough knowledge of standard shipyard practices.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
-
Proficiency with basic computer operation and ability to create and maintain various reports and spreadsheets. Ability to interpret vessel blueprints, ship drawings, and hydraulic system drawings in addition to research ships' system manuals to identify problems as they arise.

Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues, provide customer support, and contribute to the overall maintenance and improvement of hydraulic and control systems.

Ability to host pre and post shift meetings and ensure daily work is assigned, completed, and documented.

Ability to obtain a Country Clearance and Base Pass authorization.

Ability to possess a current passport at least two years before expiration after arrival in Egypt.

Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Certification in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field.
-
Prior ship maintenance experience or working knowledge of expectations and safety protocols related to a shipyard environment.

Experience working in an Arab country for long periods.
