Your role at Baxter
As the Analyst, Accounting at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, you will play a crucial role in providing support on technical tools and sophisticated business processes across the A2R organization for LATAM and UCAN entities. You will have the opportunity to prepare reporting packages, lead operational improvements, and fulfill new report requirements and ad hoc requests from upper management. Additionally, you will help develop a role that supports month-end close activities as needed. Your responsibilities will also include providing external and internal audit support, managing statutory information, and meeting customer requirements such as external audits and local regulations for the Americas. You will have the chance to actively participate in different projects and business initiatives, making a significant impact on the organization.

What you'll be doing
Follow up to the rec items > 90 days with the A2R owners and prepare the dashboard to be reviewed in a monthly basis with the Regional Controller.
Fully involve yourself in standardization and improvement for the A2R organization. Work closely with partners and A2R team members to understand technical requirements related to JDE, SAP, Alteryx, DAS8, Power BI, and other tools.
Effectively explain and detail the main drivers for variances or differences related to system interfaces. Communicate and follow-up on reconciliation differences to resolve any issues.
Perform month-end close follow-up activities such as JE completion, resolution of batches in error, processing special entries, and providing any other vital support during MEC.
Provide effective internal accounting controls, ensuring accurate application of procedures, completion of accounting reconciliations, compliance with US GAAP procedures, and S-Ox policies.
Deliver all internal and external audit requirements. Propose, develop, participate, and lead projects related to operational improvements.
Complete regulatory surveys for the US and Canada. Coordinate and confirm closing activities and post-close entries. Provide support to the Global FA team on JDE configuration and supplemental mapping as needed, as well as support ad hoc requests from management and assist with the setup of allocations into JDE.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in similar positions.
Proficiency in English at B2+ level or higher.
Work experience in general accounting processes and implementation projects at all stages.
Solid understanding of ERP systems such as JDE, SAP, and Oracle.
Proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of Macros or Visual Basic considered a plus.
Preferred experience working with simplification and reporting tools such as Cognos, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, and more.
