The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team is home to the design and engineering work that makes this vision possible. This role sits in the Discovery team and will involve creating store experiences that help gamers find content they will love. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of developers and various cross-functional stakeholders to deliver outstanding products and solutions through scalable and high-performing store experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong consumer background with a proven track record of delivering solutions that meet engagement and monetization goals. Excellent collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams, highly self-organized, ability to lead v-teams, customer-obsessed, and a strong bias for action.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy. Develop and lead complex and large-scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives from conception/planning to execution, inclusive of the experimentation phase. Do this in in a data-informed way that aligns to Microsoft’s Gaming goals to drive product innovation and differentiation within the games industry.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, including designers, engineers, artists, and internal and external studios. Manage relationships and ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Execution Excellence. Help manage cross-functional workstreams to develop concepts into detailed product plans (including roadmaps and resource planning etc.). Lead project teams to achieve goals, resolve dependencies, evaluate risk etc. Continuously monitor and improve processes to optimize project outcomes.
Communication. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to senior leadership and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations etc.
Inclusive Leadership: Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that values the contributions of all team members. Promote an atmosphere where different perspectives are respected and considered in decision-making.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years experience as a Product Manager in a consumer environment or equivalent experience.
- Ability to conceive, plan, and execute on initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence. Ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, without losing sight of the highest priority items.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing highly sensitive material with the utmost professionalism.
- Demonstrated work experience supporting leaders and a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable prioritizing among multiple projects and able to react with appropriate urgency to requests.
- Advanced English level
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of the gaming industry with a specific focus on monetization.
- Familiarity with Project management tools and processes including Azure Dev Ops.
- Confidence with Excel and Power Point.
- Solid technical aptitude and the ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks. Engineers enjoy working closely with you and you with engineers.
- Strong technical, analytical, and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisions.
- Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively.
- Ability to understand audience segmentation and data pipelines.

- Enjoys writing specs, making Power Points, and playing around in Excel.
