This competition is for one full-time term position working 75 hours bi-weekly until March 31, 2026. At Tourism and Culture, we are a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to the Yukon’s vibrant tourism, arts, museums, heritage, historic sites, and archival communities and to their contributions to the Yukon’s quality of life.
Reporting to the Manager, Industry Services, the Program Officer manages, administers and delivers funding programs for tourism entrepreneurs, First Nations governments, municipal governments, tourism organizations or partnerships and non-government organizations featuring Yukon tourism products. The incumbent evaluates funding applications to determine eligibility of clients and projects based on the program criteria and guidelines, within the demands of competing and changing priorities. The Program Officer is also responsible for conducting a thorough and detailed review and assessment of final reports, financial documents and receipts to ensure compliance with the fund guidelines. This position also monitors the budget, prepares reports and ministerial briefing notes, reviews the program’s success and makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the program.

Essential Qualifications Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Post-secondary diploma in public or financial administration or related discipline;
Considerable experience in fund administration, preferably in a government setting;
Demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholders;
Considerable experience performing research and analyzing data;
Experience updating and maintaining administrative databases.

Additional Information Conditions of Employment:
Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s licence.
Job Requirements:
Travel within and outside of the Yukon may be required.
Relocation expenses will not be provided for this position.
