Family Program Support Staff
**This is a 18 month Term part time position. **
Overview
The Family Program Staff assists with implementing and coordinating the delivery of the Family programs; creating and maintaining an environment which is nurturing and following policies and procedures established by the Yellowknife Women's Society to support the social, cultural, and economic autonomy of northern women and their families.
Duties
- Helps to maintain and deliver a daily program.
-Follow policies and procedures established by the Yellowknife Women's Society.
-Under the direction of the Family Program Coordinator, communicates with parents regularly and encourages their participation.
-Assists with some administrative tasks for the family programs.
-Pursue ongoing professional development through appropriate courses, seminars, or workshops.
-Perform other duties as required such as program preparation, snack preparation, cleaning duties and distribute monthly calendars.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and patience are essential traits for this role
Other qualifications would be beneficial:
-Valid Driver’s License (driver’s abstract to be provided).
-First Aid training (up to date).
-Immunizations (up to date).
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
Work Location: In person
