Flooring Installer Kent Homes is looking for a skilled and experienced Flooring Installer to come join our team! This is a permanent full-time role based in Bouctouche, NB. The primary language of work is English. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing flooring materials in modular homes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality throughout the construction process. This role requires strong construction skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding Kent Homes' standards of excellence. With our plant at 28 Chemin du Couvent, Bouctouche, New Brunswick, we have 150,000 square feet of space dedicated to building quality homes and offices year-round. We serve remote, rural and urban centers throughout Atlantic Canada and Maine, US. Key Responsibilities
Flooring Installation: Install various types of flooring materials, such as laminate, hardwood, vinyl, in modular homes according to blueprint specifications and company standards.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and quality of flooring installation work, conducting inspections and measurements to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Material Handling: Handle and organize flooring materials efficiently, including cutting, fitting, and positioning, to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in all construction activities, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion of flooring installation tasks.
Qualifications
Proven experience in flooring installation or general construction, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
A graduate from a recognized Carpentry program with a Carpentry Certificate OR equivalent experience
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team
Perform all duties of the job with a high degree of safety consciousness
Strong attention to detail
Physically able to perform all aspects of the job
Work collaboratively with all team members
