Advanced Medical Solutions Inc. (AMS) is currently accepting applications for a full time ACP or CCP working a 3 weeks on & 3 weeks off rotation with our ACCESS Air Ambulance Program. Our Transport Team services 33 NWT communities from 2 bases, Yellowknife and Inuvik. ACCESS Air Ambulance is one of only 3 CAMTS Accredited Services in Canada. Here are some of the highlights:

Flight Team Qualifications:
Current ACP or RN License
Minimum 3 years emergency or critical care experience as an ACP or RN
Previous Experience in an Air Ambulance environment is an asset
Current CPR, ACLS, ITLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE
Instructor status in the above-mentioned certifications would be considered an asset
Flight Team Responsibilities:
Planning patient care following established guidelines and policies
Coordination of equipment and staff to transport patient safely and effectively
Monitoring and managing patient care during all stages of the transport process
Complete and concise patient documentation
Effective communication with all members of the health care team involved in the transport and care of the patient
Always maintain patient confidentiality and respect the rights of the patient
Identifies, intervenes, and responds appropriately during crisis situations
Identifies questionable assignments and procedures and seeks guidance as necessary following established lines of communication
Recognizes personal strengths and limitations and seeks guidance as required
Attends educational opportunities and maintains all necessary certifications
Promotes a harmonious working environment and utilizes appropriate communication techniques during professional interactions
Practices active listening skills, interviewing and problem-solving techniques effectively
Maintaining and checking all equipment and ensuring it is in proper working order
Assisting the Air Ambulance Manager with administrative duties as required
