As the face of our airline, our Flight Attendants have the most direct interactions with our passengers, making them key to shaping the customer experience. If you love to travel and enjoy meeting new people, you’ll thrive in this role—and we’d love to meet you! Flight Attendants at CMA report directly to the Flight Attendant Manager. They are part of the Cabin Safety department and are responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers on board. Responsibilities
Ensure the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers, which includes enforcing and following all standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with Central Mountain Air and regulatory requirements.
Conduct pre-flight safety checks.
Attend pre-flight briefings with other crew members.
Up to date on all memos and emails prior to checking-in for duty.
Ensure fit for duty when reporting to work.
Be in uniform, as per the CMA Uniform Policy and have on hand all items required for duty, as per the Flight Attendant Manual.
Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate safety and emergency equipment such as oxygen systems, aircraft doors, fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communication equipment, and lighting systems.
Represent Central Mountain Air with a high level of professionalism, at all times, while on duty.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Must hold a valid Canadian Passport, or a valid Canadian Permanent Resident card.
Must be 19 years of age or older.
High school diploma; post-secondary education is an asset.
Previous aviation experience is considered an asset.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Airport Identification Card (RAIC)
A clear criminal background check and the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
Must successfully complete a 4-week full-time initial training program, annual training and any other training deemed necessary by the Company.
Must be flexible to work any shift assigned including days, evenings, weekends, overnight and multi-day trips.
Must be able to adhere to strict uniform standards.
The ability to communicate with an advanced level of written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.
Provide consistent levels of superior customer service and satisfaction by anticipating customer needs and exceeding expectations in the provision of service.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Able to work to tight time constraints, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and proficient at working from memory.
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces for long periods of time.
Proficient computer skills.
