Job description
The Automotive/Service Sales Associate position is fast paced, involving constant interaction with customers in person and over the phone, with the use of a computerized auto parts look up system…explaining product benefits and fulfilling customer needs. Helping customers is combined with store maintenance activities such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping.
Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service
• Guide customer to the location of the requested items
• Handle customer inquiries and request in a timely manner
• Keep up to date on in-store promotions, in store deals and product locations
• Follows established procedures
• Stock shelves
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• operate computers and enter all relevant coding of the Canadian Tire system

Requirements

• Demonstrates automotive knowledge and interest
• Basic math and typing skills
• good working knowledge of automotive parts lookup
• ability to work under minimal supervision with computerized systems
• Highly approachable, customer oriented individual
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals
• ability to multitask, adapt and cope with challenging and rapid changing situations
• positive attitude, punctual and solid work ethic
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory and displays

Physical Demands

• Standing/walking for up to 8 hours
• Lifting and carrying of merchandise on a regular basis. Merchandise may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy"
• Climbing ladders
• Complete other tasks as required

Job Type: Full-time
