As an Administrative Assistant you will support Regional Office functions and activities through the provision of a full range of administrative support, processes, procedures and services to the Regional Director and regional team. You'll work independently and assist with carrying out special assignments with minimal supervision. In this role, you'll develop broad experience, skills and knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and practices..
Title: Administrative Assistant
Salary: $51,593- $61,267 - $70,940 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: 18 month Term
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Location: Syilx - West Kelowna

About the role
As an Administrative Assistant you will support Regional Office functions and activities through the provision of a full range of administrative support, processes, procedures and services to the Regional Director and regional team. You'll work independently and assist with carrying out special assignments with minimal supervision. In this role, you'll develop broad experience, skills and knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and practices.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have successful completion of grade 12 plus a certificate in office administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

You may have experience in providing a full range of administrative support and services to a team, including a senior manager (recent defined as within the last 4 years, and significant usually defined as 2-3 years of experience). Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is a requirement.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.


As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
