The ELV supervisor will be responsible for managing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of extra low voltage (ELV) systems in commercial and industrial buildings. This includes overseeing teams, ensuring adherence to project schedules, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Project supervision:
Supervise and coordinate the installation and commissioning of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, T&A, wireless solutions and building management systems (BMS).
Ensure that all work is performed according to the project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
Team management:
Lead, guide, and manage a team of technicians and subcontractors.
Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure all team members follow safety protocols and work efficiently.
Provide technical support and training to the team on various ELV systems.
Quality control:
Conduct regular inspections of ELV systems installations and rectify any issues.
Ensure that installations meet both customer requirements and safety standards.
Ensure all equipment and systems are tested and commissioned properly.
Coordination:
Liaise with project managers, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Coordinate with other contractors (electrical, civil, etc.) for site activities.
Attend site meetings and provide progress reports to management.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain documentation such as daily progress reports, material requests, and test/commissioning reports.
Ensure all documentation is completed and handed over as per project requirements.
Health & safety:
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company safety protocols.
Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure all staff members wear appropriate PPE.
Troubleshooting & maintenance:
Perform troubleshooting and rectification of faults in ELV systems.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supervising ELV system installation and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of ELV systems (CCTV, fire alarms, access control, public address, etc.).
Technical skills:
Familiarity with ELV design and installation standards and practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Proficiency in troubleshooting ELV systems.
Leadership skills: Strong team management, communication, and coordination skills.
Certifications: Relevant ELV certifications or safety certifications are a plus (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH).

Work conditions:
Full-time position; may require working beyond normal hours depending on project demands.
