About the role:
As our Procurement Governance Manager, you will be joining a well-established and strategic procurement function.
The primary purpose of the position is the development and maintenance of the governance framework including policies, standards, processes, templates, guidelines and related materials to ensure that Ventia's procurement outcomes are met and business understanding of the value derived by using best practice solutions and channels.
This position offers hybrid working with work from home and time in our beautiful Corporate North Sydney Head office however we are flexible on location so options to base out of Melbourne or Adelaide is also a possibility for the right applicant.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership and delivery of procurement policy, standards and processes
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging business trends, governance and compliance requirements.
- Development and implementation of sound procurement practices and procedures aligned with legislation, regulation, policy, guidelines and frameworks as well as monitoring of performance.
- Providing expert advice to stakeholders ensuring consistency across our procurement channels.
- Service as a subject matter expert for governance frameworks and regulations within Ventia.
- Work with stakeholders to identify commercial, legal and social developments to ensure Ventia remains compliant and leads best practice procurement.
About you:
- Relevant Commerce, Business qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Well developed experience working in a strategic procurement environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of procurement strategy and governance.
- Well-developed commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience in using Ariba preferred.
- MCIPS membership or ISO preferred.
